For your sketch combo, it is important that you find an artist or artist that inspire your work. Here is your task for this class/ async Friday

Go to the Google Arts & Culture Links to an external site. website. On the left, Click on ‘Explore’ and then ‘Artists’.  Spend 10 minutes exploring the different artists featured there. When you click on an artist you need to scroll down to see examples of their work. Choose an artist that you like the look of.  Preferably in a word document, write about the artist you have chosen.

1. State their name

2. Describe what materials they use to make their art.

3. Describe how 1-2 specific pieces look in detail. What is in the composition? Is this a repeated subject matter in their work?

4. Paste in 2-3 examples of their artwork as an example.

5. Research further on the internet and see what you can find out.

Is there an art movement it can be categorized in?

                   What is the artist's process?

6. How can they influence your portfolio and or process of making?
