All Final or in-progress work: Photograph it in good lighting, save the photo to Drive, insert the image into appropriate Portfolio slide, cropped and the same slideshow is submitted to nearly every Canvas assignment.

How had 20 th century artists used the 3 techniques of building to create with an organic form?

How will I take line to shape to a subtractive form?

  Description: After learning about 20th century sculptors and the 3 techniques of sculpting you will use a process of using an organic shape drawn idea to develop a 3D form carved from floral foam demonstrating the subtractive and manipulating building techniques. 

 

Materials:

Sketchbook

Pencil

Placement: newspaper thin cardboard

Foam block

Homemade carving tools: sticks, paper clips, hot glue and masking tape

Surface treatment: watered down glue, paint brush and acrylic paints.

 

Process and Building steps/ assignments.

 

1. Assignment: Preparation drawing Foam Sculpture  Due 9/17 Thursday

2. Start carving on the foam with the homemade tools finished carve: Presentation

    • Process submitted in here due on 9/21

3.  Treatment of glue then acrylic paint: Presentation

    • The Final submitted in Here by 9/25 Friday

      All Final or in-progress work: Photograph it in good lighting, save the photo to Drive, insert the image into appropriate Portfolio slide, cropped and the same slideshow is submitted to nearly every Canvas assignment.
